The Central Catholic girls cross country team had its best multi-team win in recent memory Wednesday afternoon, nipping both Haverhill (27-28) and Chelmsford (25-30). "I can't even remember the last time we beat either of them," said 11-year Central coach Colette Madore.

"Tiffany Simeone remained unbeaten for the Raiders (4-1), taking first im 18:38 on Haverhill's 2.9-mile course while Avery Hayes and Katie Freeman were fourth and fifth respectively. Jillian Lemieux had a strong race for the Hillies, finishing second (19:18) with Jenna Solimine in seventh.
