Hornets fly to CAL meet crown

Emily Murray and Nicole Roberts each took two victories and Cole Godzinski earned a win and two seconds as North Reading surged to the Cape Ann League Meet title with 117 points.

Murray won the shot put (39-0) and discus (116-11) while Roberts took the 2-mile (11:30.5) and 800 (2:24.4). Godzinski earned her gold in the 100 hurdles (15.65) while Emily Visconti won the 100 (13.16) and Julia Valenti was second in the pole vault.

Pentucket's Ali Attenasio won the pole vault with a 10-6, helping the Sachems take third as a team. The 4x400 also grabbed the gold for the Sachems, while McKenna Kilian added seconds in the high jump and 400.
