PELHAM — Pelham set the tone early last night when Joe Slattery hooked up with Zack Conway for a 43-yard scoring pass on the third play of the game en route to a convincing 42-0 victory over Winnisquam.

The Pythons didn't need any more points, but they went on to score twice more in the first on a pair of scoring runs by Chris Benjamin and Chris Medeiros.

Benjamin, who had his appendix removed a few days before the season started, made his first appearance of the season noteworthy with a 12-yard touchdown run on his third carry of the game and had 70 yards on his six carries.

Medeiros, who has 555 rushing yards on the season, finished with a game-high 162 yards on 11 carries and was led by an offensive line that had its best blocking performance of the season according to coach Ryan Clark.

Tyler Kosic, who caused a fumble he recovered, led a defense that made several big plays to stymie the visitors.
