After what Timberlane coach Andrew Merrick considers his team's worst effort this season, he made the tough decision to sit five of his best players.
And with five JV players on the roster, the Owls played well in spurts but eventually succumbed to the Oyster River attack, 3-0.
"I thought the intensity was better than it was yesterday," he said. "I thought we played by far our worst game of the year (Wednesday) and I thought today we had a little bit better intensity because the guys showed up to work. It was a better overall effort today."
Timberlane goalie Ryan Rothwell made 12 saves and gave up all three goals before giving way to freshman Brett LaPierriere, who made one save.
