Swampscott has the opportunity to get a real tight grip on the Northeastern Conference Small race when it travels to Winthrop Tuesday. The once-beaten Vikings lost at Swampscott (50-41) early in the season.
You know Winthrop, which is powered by the fearsome foursome of Courntey and Kristin Finn, Katerina Mallios, and Nicole Gianquinto, has been dying to get another crack at Swampscott. The first time around the Vikings played without Mallios for the majority of the game.
Another Big Blue win would put them in charge with a two-game lead. A loss, however, would knot things up.
