Behind the efforts of freshman Carly Swartz (12 points) and junior Morgan Maiola (seven points), North Reading threw a slight scare into Pentucket on the night it raised its state championship banner. But a three-point lead quickly turned into a double-digit advantage in the third quarter, and the Sachems ran away for a 57-35 victory. Sophomore McKenna Kilian led the green with 14 points followed closely by classmate Kelsi McNamara (13 points) and senior Alex Moore (11).
