Rockport | 8 |
Lynn Tech | 0 |
The top two line on the Rockport boys hockey team should be well-rested when the Vikings play Northeast Regional on Saturday.
That's because both lines were able to get adequate rest last night as Rockport rolled past Lynn Tech, 8-0. The win improved the Vikings to 1-1 on the young season. "I think the key was that I only had to use the top two lines sparingly," said Rockport head coach Mike Greel. "My third, fourth and fifth lines were able to keep the pressure on them."
Six different Vikings players scored in the game including Ty Zampitella (goal, assist), Eric Juncker (goal, two assists), Adam Clay (two goals), Danny Linquist (two goals), Brendan Surrette (goal) and Scott Greene (goal). Chris Ferrante contributed three assists.
In the Rockport net, Bryan Greel made 15 saves for the shutout.
