No. 5 seed Pinkerton lost a heartbreaker 37-35 to No. 12 seed Manchester Memorial in the first round of the Division 1 tournament.

Pinkerton called a timeout with 4 seconds left and senior guard Kevin Colbert launched a 3-pointer with 1 second remaining. Colbert's shot hit the rim and bounced away.
The Astros shot less than 35 from the floor and converted just 8-of-17 free throws. They also missed the front end of two one-and-ones in the final 1:30.
"If we had made those, we would have won," Pinkerton coach Peter Rosinski said.
Chris Light led Pinkerton with 14 points. Alex Patrikis added 11 points.
The Astros (13-6) had beaten Manchester Memorial 54-48 on Jan. 27 and had entered the tournament on a five-game winning streak.
