With its perfect record on the line, North Andover boys track looked to one of its captains.
Jim Quinlan won the 800 meters with a time of 2:06.5 and just 10 minutes later anchored the 4x400 relay team that clinched the meet over a tough Wilmington squad, 77-67.
Had Wilmington (5-2) won the relay, it would have tied the meet.
"That's a tough double," said head coach Steve Nugent, whose team improved to 7-0. "He's one of our captains and it was really awesome to witness."
John Manteiga won two events for the Knights, taking the Long Jump with a leap of 19-9 and winning the 100 meter dash in 11.5 seconds.
