Kelsey Chapman missed the past three weeks with a back injury but she returned yesterday and helped No. 11 Andover beat No. 3-seeded Chelmsford 4-1 in the Division 1 North quarterfinals in girls tennis.
Chapman paired with Reid Campbell in No. 1 singles. They won 6-4, 6-1.
"It was nice to finally get them back together and they played well," Andover coach Jen Deschenes said.
Meanwhile, Michelle Krupnik won at No. 3 singles 6-3, 6-3.
"Michelle has played very consistently throughout the season," Deschenes said. "She's one of our strongest singles players."
Andover has advanced to the semifinals and will play the winner of tomorrow's quarterfinal match between Central Catholic and Acton-Boxboro.
