Methuen girls tennis pulled off an upset victory by beating Andover 3-2.
"Biggest match that we've had and best win of our program since I've been here," said Methuen coach Eileen Malloy who has been coaching at Methuen since 1997 and had never beaten the Golden Warriors until yesterday. "These girls played the match of their lives."
Tami Nguyen won 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 in No. 3 singles. Perrine Sechehaye and Monique Mai won their No. 1 singles match 3-6, 7-6, (8-6), 6-3, while Tori Bonneau and Rebecca Kwakye won their No. 2 doubles match 3-6, 6-2, 6-0.
