The Pinkerton boys and girls teams swept the 15-team Merrimack Invitational. The Smith twins were immense with Emmitt Smith winning the 100, taking second in the 200 and helping the Astros take third in the 4x100. Abbey Smith may have been even more impressive with a second in the 100, a second in the high hurdles and a leg on the winning 4x100. Teammate Margaret Barrie also piled up big points in the sprints.
Kailee Kwiecien was a triple winner: 400, 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relays.
Salem's Amy Desrosiers won the discus with a monstrous 133-2 heave, just two inches shy of the area record.
