METHUEN — It was a chaotic offseason for North Andover.
Tyler Sifferlen, who scored 15 goals as an eighth-grade sensation last winter, transferred to Malden Catholic. To the surprise of many, interim coach Brian Keenan wasn't brought back.
But new coach Peter Marfione righted the ship and the Scarlet Knights head into the postseason with an 11-6-4 mark.
Four different Knights scored in yesterday's 4-0 win over Methuen.
"We just keep moving forwarded," said Marfione, who is awaiting state tourney pairings, which will be determined today. "We're a young team. We did a good job. We never dropped below .500."
A couple of freshmen played big roles with Tristan Stewart scoring and Joey Daccord (22 saves) teaming with Matt Noyes (2 saves) for the shutout.
"Daccord is in a zone right now," said Marfione. "He made a couple big saves early. Noyes is ready if needed."
It was another balanced effort by the Knights."I think every line scored," he said. "That's nice to see. The freshman and sophomores who had limited roles last year have stepped up. Lke Nick Pino, a sophomore defenseman, he's having a great year."
Cam Conway had a fine game in net with 37 saves but he couldn't prevent the Rangers (6-14) from suffering their ninth straight loss.

Assists: Hunter 2, Cody Aponas, Jake Silk, Ryan Losco, David Messina, Ernest Guerrera
