Angelica Hurley and Angelina Yacubacci scored 20 and 19 points, respectively, to power Pentucket to a 72-46 win over Notre Dame of Hingham.

Pentucket used its trademark defense to crush Triton 63-25 after leading 33-11 at halftime. Angelina Yacubacci scored 15 points and Angelica Hurley added 12 to lead the Sachems (8-1).

The Pentucket girls basketball team turned in one of the most dominant defensive performances of the season, shutting down Georgetown for a 66-13 win. The Royals were held to just three points by halftime, with the Sachems staking out a 36-3 lead, and Angelica Hurley led a balanced offensive output with 11 points.

ANDOVER — After falling to Westford in its tourney opener, Pentucket rallied for two straight wins to take 5th place in the Commonwealth Motors Christmas Classic.

Led by 17 points from Angelina Yacubacci, the No. 5 Sachems handles No. 7 Londonderry 58-41 Sunday afternoon.

ANDOVER — Pentucket had little issue with New Hampshire's Winnacunnet, rolling to a 70-24 win in the Commonwealth Motors Christmas Classic consolation bracket. 

The Sachems (4-1) led 25-15 at the half, but exploded for 30 points in the third quarter to break the game open. 

Arielle Cleveland was everywhere with 16 points and 12 rebounds, and both Angelina Yacubacci and Angelica Hurley had 14 points to lead Pentucket to a 57-33 win over North Reading.

Angelica Hurley did it all with 7 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals, Angelina Yacubacci led the scoring with 16 points and Maddie Doyle drilled four 3-pointers for 12 points as Pentucket's girls whipped Manchester Essex 65-34.

Junior guard Angelica Hurley was all over the court in Pentucket's season-opening 63-42 win over Lynnfield. She chipped in 12 points with 8 assists, 7 boards and 7 steals. Jess Galvin led the Sachems with 18 points and four 3s, and Arielle Cleveland had 17.
