Read More »At the 40th Annual Dartmouth Relays in Hanover, Salem sophomore Melissa Higgins won the 300 meter dash with a time of 41.50. Higgins bested a field of over 70 runners from all over New England as she blew away the competition, beating the next best runner by 1.49 seconds and setting a new Salem High School record in the event.

Read More »Running her first anchor leg this season, Laura Bellino registered the fastest 400 split time of the race at an opportune moment as North Reading came back to tie Wilmington, 43-43. Bellino joined with Kristy Conway, Brittany Angiolillo and Jen Shields to win the meet's final event and achieve the deadlock. Angiolillo also won the 300 (42.6) for the Hornets (1-2-1) while Shields placed second in the high jump and third in the 600. Kaitlin DaCosta ran a swift 1:47.4 to win the 600 for North Reading.
