Hunter Hollingsworth also stepped up big for the Astros, winning the 200 IM (2:17.77) and 500 freestyle (5:40.63), and swimming the third leg of the 400 freestyle relay team.
Read More »Mike Carbone, Tom Franklin and Mark Lalli cruised as Haverhill topped Central Catholic, 97-85, in the season opener for both teams. In individual events, Carbone took the 200 IM (2:23.08) and the 100 breastroke (1:15.86), Franklin took the 500 freestyle (5:37.63), and Lalli had the top times in the 50 freestyle (25.31) and 100 freestyle (56.11). All three were also on the winning 200 medley relay team (1:58.33), and Franklin and Carbone swam the first and last legs of the winning 400 freestyle relay team (4:09.04), respectively.
