Jorge Aquino sparked the win with an 11-3 major decision over the state's No. 1-ranked 103-pounder, Andrew Gauthier, and Kevin Valerio had a 13-2 major decision over Lowell Holiday placer Frank McCarthy. Aquino is now 25-4 on the year and Valerio is 27-2.
