With 25 minutes remaining in the second half, Sarah Oteri sent a pass from the left in front where Catherine Gross hammered it home. Tameka Geaslen only saw three shots in the game, making two saves.

Three different goal scorers propelled Dracut past Haverhill 4-0. Hillies goaltender Brianna Guerin made seven saves in the defeat as the Haverhill fell to 1-4.

Irene Cassidy made seven saves as Methuen fought Tewksbury to a scoreless tie. Alison Krusell and Jessica Donovan played well for the Rangers (5-1-2).

Hilary O'Brien's goal in the first half was enough for North Reading, which rode a 10-save performance from Kiara Zani to its first win of the year, 1-0 over Wilmington. The win lifted the Hornets to 1-9.

Over the last five years, the Manchester Essex field hockey team has been a powerhouse, making the Division 2 North semifinals in each season during that span.

This fall, the Hornets are hoping to finally get past that point, and Molly Foye is doing everything in her power to help accomplish that goal.

Manchester Essex's undefeated run came to an end, falling to North Andover 3-0. Jordan Berger had nine saves in the loss.

Kelly Burke scored twice and added an assist to lead Georgetown to a 3-0 win over Wilmington. Sarah LeBlanc chipped in with a goal and Karen O'Hare had eight saves for the Royals.

Sarah Galligan scored two goals to lead Pentucket to a 6-1 victory over Ipswich. Lyndsay Beaton added a goal and two assists. Anne Cleary had a goal and an assist. Christine Roy and Brianna Dunn added one goal each and Katie Studzinski tallied three assists.

Nine players recorded points as Methuen downed Lawrence 7-0. Stephanie Chaisson scored twice while goalie Irene Cassidy | playing the field in the second half | also had a goal for the Rangers (5-1-1).

Last year's Pentucket field hockey team was the first in program history to post a tournament victory.

So for a squad that returned nine seniors this fall, there was instant pressure to eclipse that accomplishment. "Coming into the season, we knew having all of these seniors would either work out really well, or it wouldn't work at all," said co-captain Briana Dunn.

Anne Cleary had two goals to lead Pentucket to a 3-1 victory over Georgetown. Spencer Lentine added a goal for the Sachems. Lyndsay Beaton had two assists. Christine Roy had one. Danielle Epstein scored the Georgetown goal.

Lauren Gaffny tallied her third hat trick of the season, upping her goal total on the season to 13 and giving North Andover a 3-0 win over Lynnfield. Kathie Andrusin added an assist and Alison McCarthy made seven saves for the winners.

Kaitlin Hill and Kaitlyn Lavallee both scored twice as Timberlane pounded Manchester Central 7-0. Chelsea Sickel added three helpers, and Stephanie Glazier chipped in with two. Brittany McFarland-Bateman made two saves to earn the shutout.

Lauren Gaffny struck three times for North Andover, and Alison McCarthy made three saves to lead the Scarlet Knights to a 3-0 win over Georgetown. Kathie Andrusin added two assists for undefeated North Andover (7-0). Sarah Osborne made seven saves in the loss.

Catherine Gross scored twice and Brittany Isenhart had a pair of assists as Andover topped Haverhill, 4-0. Sarah Oteri and Heather Sullivan added the other goals for Andover (5-0, 4-0 MVC). Haverhill goalie Briana Guerin was busy, making 25 saves.
