Travis Lane allowed just one hit in 6 1/3 innings and delivered two hits and four RBIs of his own as Phillips pounded Worcester Academy 10-0. 

Rachel Moore of Atkinson was 2 for 4, scored twice and drove in two to spark rising Phillips Academy to an 11-1 win over Worcester Academy. Hannah Cuff was 3 for 4 with two RBIs as well for the Big Blue (8-1).

Governor's Academy wrestling started the season off strong with a pair of wins over Worcester Academy and Lawrence Academy on Saturday. Cara Nugent, Mitch West, Kristoff Burrell, Cooper Howson, Alex Sherbak and David Hurlin all went 2-0 on the day.

ANDOVER — Post-grad quarterback Zach Geddes was a monster on Saturday, throwing for four touchdowns and rushing for a fifth to lead Phillips to a 42-14 victory over worcester Academy.

Phillips Academy defeated Tabor 8-2 in the Central New England Prep semifinals, but fell to Worcester Academy 5-2 in the championship game a few hours later. Georgetown's Travis Lane went 3 for 5 with three RBIs on the day, and also pitched a couple good innings of relief for Phillips.

Gabi Hillner had a home run blasted into the Brooks pond, two doubles and a single for a whopping seven RBIs in a 15-10 defeat of Worcester Academy. Sophomore leadoff batter Caroline Kukas had three hits and scored four runs for the Green and WHite (9-3).

URBANIK LEADS PHILLIPS

WORCESTER — Ex-Pinkerton star TJ Urbanik had a big day for Phillips, totaling 203 yards of total offense and three touchdowns to lead the Big Blue to a 34-28 win over Worcester Academy.

Phillips Academy beat Phillips Exeter and Worcester Academy in a double-header to win the Central New England Prep School Championship. Georgetown's Travis Lane pitched a complete-game shutout in the first match against Exeter, striking out eight and only allowing three hits. Travis's brother Thomas Lane is a freshmen pitcher at Boston College. In the championship game, Payton Jancsy hit a leadoff homerun in the top of the eigth to put Phillips ahead. The homerun was the first of Jancsy's career. Andover's Sam Conte also hit a homerun in the top of the third. Lane won tournament MVP.

Andover's Alex Brickman got the win for Worcester Academy in game one of a double header against Phillips. He also helped out his cause by blasting a two-run homer in the top of the first inning. 

Jonathan Paulino of Methuen scored 15 points with 4 3-pointers to lead upset-minded Bradford Christian in a tough 56-55 loss to powerful Worcester Academy.
