North Andover junior goaltender Jacqui Petto stopped 15 Wilmington shots to lead the Scarlet Knigts to  season-opening 1-1 draw at home. Junior Sarah Balaguer scored her first varsity goal during the first half.

Haverhill's Samie Al-Ziab took first at 220 pounds, recording all four victories by pin including a 30-second win in the finals at the Wilmington Sons of Italy Tournament.

Leading by just a goal midway through the second half, North Andover needed some insurance. And Evan Dudney was up to the task.

The high-scoring senior booted in a picture-perfect goal from 30 yards out, and the No. 2 Scarlet Knights rolled from there on the way to a 3-0 victory over No. 3 Wilmington yesterday in the Division 1 North semifinals.

Trailing 1-0, Dan Rivet scored with five minutes left then netted the game winner with 33 seconds left as North Andover tripped Wilmington, 2-1, in the Haverhill Tourney. Defenseman Ernest Guerrera picked up two assists including a pin-point pass after a length of the ice rush on the winner.
