Liam Doyle pitched a five-inning no-hitter, striking out 13 as Pinkerton crushed Bishop Guertin 10-0. Jacob Albert had a triple, was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and scored twice for the Astros.

Emily Lahey got things rolling with a solo home run in the fifth and was 3 for 3 with two runs scored as Pinkerton softball won its third straight, 5-1 over Bishop Guertin. Freshman Adi Runge threw a 4-hitter, striking out seven, for the win. 

EXETER — The Pinkerton boys lacrosse team needed an answer.

George Boudreau scored a major decision over reurning all-state finalist Connor McDonald at 138 pounds as Salem tripped up Bishop Guertin, 41-30. Mike Williams rallied for a pin at 160 pounds to seal the win. 

Nick Pallaria won a 10-2 major decision over Zach Rioux in a battle of defending all-state champions and brother Dom Pallaria beat a returning all-state placer 5-4 as Timberlane remaoined unbeaten with a 50-21 win over Bishop Guertin. 

Joey DaSilva scored 22 points and Jack St. Hilaire added 17 as Windham's boys ripped Bishop Guertin 57-41. The Jaguars (4-1) outscored BG 30-18 in the middle two quarters.

Windham, after defeating Bishop Guertin 3-0, will get to defend its Division 1 field hockey title Sunday.  Maddie Ohare, Amy Lanouette and Can Livingstone all scored for the Jaguars, who are now 9-0 and have not given up a goal all year. Windham will face Dover at 2 p.m. Sunday at a site yet to be detrmined.

NASHUA – Salem went on the road for the first round of the New Hampshire playoffs feeling a lot more confident than a squad sitting a game above .500 and seeded 13th in a 15-team field.
