And the Pythons will be going in hot after racking up their sixth straight win Friday night, handling Manchester West 42-27.

Pelham's volleyball team won its first match of the season, sweeping Manchester West to improve to 1-1. Maria Dagher had an impressive nine aces in the win.

Tyler Pike got his first pitching experience for Pelham in relief of starter J.J. Jepson, and struck out the side in the his one inning of work in an 8-0 win over Manchester West. "He throws this loopy curveball from a weird slot," said Pelham coach Joe Morin. "We call him Captain Hook!"

Brooke DesRoche tossed 5 1/3 innings, allowing just two runs and striking out nine to lead Sanborn softball to its first win of the season, a 5-2 victory over Manchester West. Grace DuBois drove in two runs and finished off the game in the circle.

Colin Grenier went 3 for 4, drove in four runs and scored one himself to lead Sanborn baseball to an 8-6 victory over Manchester West. Jacob Cogswell tossed six innings to pick up the win and drove in a run.

In a 68-66 win over upset-minded West, Cam Loring converted a 3-point play with under 10 seconds left to save Pelham. Junior Derek Crowley tied a career high with 23 points.

PELHAM — Brett Lindsay was simply unstoppable Friday night.

The senior captain carried the rock 26 times for a remarkable 288 yards and five touchdowns to lead Pelham to a season-ending 47-26 romp of Manchester West. In total, the Pythons had 376 yards on 34 carries (11.1 yards per carry)
