The Timberlane boys soccer team made a big statement as the playoffs draw closer, taking down previously one-loss Hanover 2-0. Michael Giangregorio and Matthew Barney were the goal scorers, and Dimitri Kakouris pitched his fifth shutout of the year for the Owls (7-2-2).

Read More »Pinkerton track standout Amelia Graves scored in all four of her events during Saturday's meet at Dartmouth, helping the Astros take second as a team. She won the 300, came in second in the 55-meter dash and anchored both the winning 4x400 and 4x200 relay team. Other Astros who won events were Emily Lesburt in the high jump, Adrianna Buccieri in the shot put and Macy Graves in the 600m.

The Windham girls lacrosse teamwhich lost to Hanover by 10 goals two days earlier, bounced back to beat the same team 9-6. Ryane Farrell, Maggie Farrell and Mikayla Lindquist all scored two goals for the Jaguars.

Read More »It took over 100 minutes to determine who was moving onto the boys soccer semis between Pinkerton and Hanover. After two overtime periods failed to yield a winner, the game went to PK's. Needing one more save to pick up the win, Pinkerton goalie Max Fairbanks got it done to lift Pinkerton to what would be a 1-0 victory in the Division 1 quarterfinals (3-2 in PK's).
Read More »Hanover and Windham seem to go back and forth every year for the Division 2 state golf title and yesterday at Rochester CC it was all Hanover, which beat the runner-up Jaguars 417-430. Saturday at Rochester at 10 a.m. will be round 2 to determine the D2 state open title.
