METHUEN — With 14 days between its regular season finale, and lone loss of the season, and playoff opener, could Methuen/Tewksbury girls hockey have lost its dominant edge?

WELLESLEY – All season long, the North Andover girls lacrosse team played opponents tough, riding its heart and skill all the way to a second-straight state semifinal appearance.

But yesterday afternoon, the Scarlet Knights finally met their match.

Jake Lisauskaa was all over the offensive end, with a goal and six assists, but Pinkerton Academy went to overtime and fell to unbeaten Western Mass. power Longmeadow, 12-11.

Pinkerton Academy had Mass. unbeaten Longmeadow a bit worried at 6-6 going into the fourth, but the Astros faltered in the final quarter, tumbling, 14-9. Dom Corsetto scored three goals for the Astros.

WORCESTER — Julia LeBlanc knew that something would eventually have to break in Andover’s favor. After all, how many scoring chances do you need before cashing in?

But what was astounding to LeBlanc is that she would be the person that was in the right place at the right time.

Meagan Keefe scored a career-best five goals, includinng four in a row to end the first half, as Andover pulled out a thrilling 13-9 win over previously unbeaten Longmeadow (now 6-1).

Andover girls lacrosse fell to Longmeadow, 15-7. The Lancers have made the state final the last eight years in a row. Alex Alois and Jaclyn Torries scored two goals apiece for the Golden Warriors.

Tom Auger's goal with 1.1 second's left in regulation pulled Pinkerton into an. 11-11 tie with Longmeadow.  That tie didn't last long as Mike McStavock (four goals) scored just seconds into overtime to win the contest for the Astros (3-2).
