Notre Dame had lost its previous three games, entered the day 4-5 and lost by 30 to Pentucket earlier in the season. The Golden Warriors (8-2) played the game without injured star Nicole Boudreau.

The Pinkerton girls soccer team will be asking for donations at its 4 p.m. home game today against Dover to help raise money for 14-year-old Pinkerton freshman Janelle James who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia in July.

Haverhill glided to an easy 6-1 victory over Notre Dame of Tyngsboro. Sophomore outside midfielder Kaleigh Fitzgerald did a great job distributing the ball to keep the Hillies offense going strong. Casey Anderson and Molly Fitzgerald each had a pair of goals and goalie Meghan Gulbrandsen (three saves) even contribued an assist with a fine field-length pass.

Andover couldn't match Notre Dame of Hingham's intensity and hustle, watching a five-point first quarter lead melt away in a 69-51 non-league setback on the road. Freshman Nicole Boudreau had another amazing outside shooting night, draining seven 3-pointers on route to a 21-point effort for the Golden Warriors (14-4).

 Central cruised past Dracut with Phil Taberner (50) and Nate Webber (1,000) setting season bests in their victories.

Natalie Gomez dropped a game-high 25 points to lead Andover on a giant second-half surge in a 64-44 win over Notre Dame. The Warriors trailed be two at the half before out-scoring Notre Dame by 18 points in the third quarter. Gomez also chipped in with eight rebounds, six assists and five steals. Alex Alois, who spotted 11 points, finished with 13 rebounds for a double-double.

Freshman Alyssa Nelson, in the 200 freestyle, and Devon Cameron in the 100 breaststroke had wins for Haverhill in a swimming victory over Notre Dame Academy yesterday.

Huge at 5-foot-3Sophomore Danielle Riccardi is only about 5-foot-3 according to Presentation of Mary girls soccer coach Kevin Conlin, but that didn't deter her in a 1-1 tie with Notre Dame."She saved us several times," said Conlin. "She's pretty small but she was jumping like crazy," said Conlin. "She was just huge for us."

PMA captured six of the top nine places, but Notre Dame took the top three positions and prevailed with a 27-30 victory. Danielle Silva led the way, in fourth, and Samantha Ventolieri came in fifth.
