LAWRENCE — For a few moments, it seemed as if the play of the year could be unfolding.

Michaela Kane had 26 saves and registered her third shutout as the Haverhill-North Andover-Pentucket girls hockey team blanked Lincoln-Sudbury 3-0, improving its record to 12-2-3.

The beat goes on for Methuen/Tewksbury star Amanda Conway. She had eight goals late Saturday night, giving her 51 on the year, in a 9-2 victory over Lincoln-Sudbury. With the eight goals — coming just two weeks after her state-tying nine goals in a game — now gives her 201 career points. 

Haverhill senior Orlando Rojas had two pins for his 99th and 100th wins as the Hillies won both ends of a tri-meet at Andover. Reece Millington (145) and freshman Rolando Corrasco both had two pins as the Hillies improved to 12-6.

Jess Chicko took a pass from Kim Carroll and scored midway through the third to give Haverhill-Pentucket-North Andover a 3-2 win over Lincoln-Sudbury.

Senior Kyle Thing made 20 saves to record his first career shutout as Central Catholic's hockey team blanked Lincoln-Sudbury 4-0 to improve to 9-3-1 on the year. Jake Wise had a goal and two assists for the Raiders. 

Amanda Conway of Methuen scored three goals to lead Methuen-Tewksbury hockey 4-1 over Lincoln-Sudbury in girls hockey. 

LYNN — According to the Division 1 North soccer pairings Central Catholic went just as deep into the postseason as anticipated when the seventh-seeded Raiders dropped yesterday's quarterfinal match to third-seeded Lincoln-Sudbury 1-0 at Manning Field.

Lawrence ended one of its most successful boys tennis seasons ever, bowing out to Lincoln-Sudbury 5-0 in the Division 1 quarterfinals. Chen Chen lost a three-set heartbreaker at first singles for the Lancers (10-8).

North Andover beat Lincoln-Sudbury in the regular season but yesterday in the Division 1 North quarterfinals the Warriors rolled 14-8. The Knights led 3-1 after a quarter but it was all L-S after that. Tom Stabile had three goals in defeat.
