DOVER — Londonderry’s Sean O’Gorman continued to run wild, but it was not enough.

The junior running back rushed for a whopping 248 yards and four touchdowns on just 20 carries, but the Lancers fell to Dover 34-33 last night.

It was the second time this season O’Gorman has rushed for 240 or more yards in a game, and the third time he has notched 150 or more yards. He struck for scoring runs of 65 and 80 yards, and twice scored from 1 yard out. O’Gorman now has 829 yards and 10 touchdowns for the season.

Vinnie Parilla also connected with Dan Kinnon on a touchdown pass for the Lancers, who held a 33-28 lead after O’Gorman’s final score of the day early in the second half.

But Dover responded with a 71-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Zabkar to Ian Seawards on the final play of the third quarter for the winning margin. Londonderry held a slight 423-414 advantage in total yards.

The Lancers travel to face Manchester Memorial on Friday at 7 p.m.
