Nashua North too much for Londonderry

LONDONDERRY — Nashua North ran the ball with authority and took advantage of some untimely penalties last night in a 27-7 victory over Londonderry.

North scored three times in the first half to take a 21-0 lead and then just coasted in the second half.

Andrew Williams (16 carries, 60 yards) scored on a pair of 3-yard runs, Jamar Gathright (12-101, 1 TD) had several key runs and quarterback Brandon Karkhanis compledted a 41-yard TD pass to Eric Muite to provide theintermediate cushion.

Trailing 27-0, Londonderry avoided the shutout in the fourth quarter on a 5-yard TD run by quarterback Ian McMullen (10 of 25 passing for 142 yards passing, 43 yards rushing) .

Troy Mansfield led the defense for Londonderry, which dropped to 0-2, with 10 tackles, one more than Michael Wiedenfeld. Daniel Kinnon and Sean O'Gorman were in on six tackles apiece.
