Odds and ends: There was no need for introductions in pre-season as Timberlane returned 17 players after graduating just two from last year's team. ... Timberlane coach Mim Ryan says she's not had that many back in her five years with the team or in her 27-year coaching career for that matter. ... Twins Julie and Chelsea Sickel are two of the Owls' four captains. ... The Owls return their two leading scorers in Kaitlyn Lavallee and Kaitlin Hill.

Coach Mim Ryan (5th year, 41-23-3): "I can't wait (for this season). These seniors all know each other very well and they know how each other plays. The majority of them are four-year starters. We should be right there (in the Class L title hunt)."
