On "Senior Night" for the Salem boys basketball team, a new senior emerged as a player who could make the unbeaten Blue Devils (15-0) all the more strong.
Senior Joe Travato, who is out for the first time this fall, led the team with eight blocks and also added five kills in an easy sweep of Londonderry, 25-11, 25-9, 25-14.
"He (Travato) is really coming on and he could be a factor for us during the playoffs," said Salem coach E.J. Perry.
Also for Salem, Dan Timer had 12 kills, Jason Kinney served 14 points with six aces and C.J. Demarco was credited with 11 digs.
For Londonderry (11-4), Nick Berry had five kills.
