Don't count Bishop Fenwick's football team out of the playoff picture just yet.
Led by Bobby Tarr, who scored four touchdowns and finished with 312 yards in 33 carries, the Crusaders thumped Cardinal Spellman, 34-20, last night.
Bishop Fenwick is now 6-4 overall, 3-1 in the Catholic Central League Large Division.
"The biggest thing about this is that we still have a shot (at the playoffs)," said Bishop Fenwick coach Dave Woods. "If Archbishop Williams beats Arlington Catholic (today), then it comes down to what we do on Thanksgiving Day (against Austin Prep) and a bunch of tiebreakers that are too close to call right now."
Tarr broke touchdowns runs of 54 and 47 yards and also had a pair of 1-yard scores. The Crusaders also did some damage through the air as Pat Holleran tossed a 43-yard scoring pass to Chris Renzulli.
Holleran finished 3 for 7 passing for 106 yards. One completion to Tarr went for 51 yards.
Tarr continued to add to his astounding rushing totals. For the season, he has 2,380 yards and 29 touchdowns. His career yardage is up 5,480.
