In a meet that came down to the mile and mile relay, Pentucket defeated Newburyport, 49-37.
For Pentucket Amy Babeu (2 mile, 12:45), Bre Yocum (300, 43.6), April O'Brien (1000, 3:02), Alanna Poretta (mile, 5:31), and the 4x400 relay team of Bernadette Corrado, Julia Quattrini, O'Brien, and Yocum (4:42) all had first place finishes. For the Clippers Caroline Barnaby tied a school record high jump at 5-2, Jeanmarie Chaney (40, 5.38), Sara Tancreti (HH, 6.65), Melissa Derrico (shot put, 29-4.5) and Hannah McCormick (600, 1:42) all had wins.
