Andover youth shines in loss to Chelmsford

For the first time in 10 years Chelmsford got the better of Andover. The Lions topped the Golden Warriors, 103-83, to claim the Merrimack Valley regular season title.

"It took a good team to beat us," said Andover coach Marilyn Fitzgerald. "It was their year."

Freshman Rachel Moore won the 50 freestyle (24.78) and the 100 freestyle (54.22) and sophomore Monica Patterson won the 200 freestyle (1:57.14) and 500 freestyle (5:17.59).

Andover finished the regular season at 8-2-1.
