The Salem boys volleyball team extended its winning streak to 84 games and, in the process, upped its season record to 10-0 after a 25-14, 25-8, 27-25 win over Pinkerton, on the Astros homecoming day.
Dan Tiner had 17 kills and Chris Barnes added 29 assists to lead the Blue Devils while Cason Kinney had 13 kills and eight blocks. Pinkerton was led by Alex Rees' 11 kills and five blocks.
"It was good to get our 10th win," said Salem head coach E.J. Perry. "We really came out on top. Dan Tiner established us up front today."
Kinney came up with two kills and a block during the final stages of the final match, which saw Salem overturn Pinkerton's 25-24 lead into a 27-25 win.
