Battle of unbeatens
In a battle of two of the top girls soccer teams in the state, Masconomet (12-0) slipped through the defense for a lone goal in a 1-0 victory over Central Catholic (11-1-1). Both teams had nine shots on net.
"We missed some wide-open opportunities, but it was a good physical game between two good teams," said Central coach Anne Marinaro.
