Caceres does it all for Reggies

DANVERS — Jose Caceres gave Essex Tech fits in a 42-18 Greater Lawrence Tech victory.

The 5-10, 190-pound junior rushed 23 times for 179 yards and three TDs. Unoficially he was 13 of 14 passing with a 6-yard TD pass to Luis Torres. Adere Mezidore scored twice. 

Caceres also intercepted a pass. Linemen Michelett Vargas (8 tackles) and Malib Pastrana (7 tackles) led the defense.

Greater Lawrence, which led just 13-12 at the half, evened its record at 2-2 while Essex Tech (0-4) remains winless.

The Reggies unveil their new artificial turf field Friday when they host Northeast at 7 p.m.
