In her first year of cross country, Methuen junior Sara Fragione started slowly, but she certainly came on strong as the season progressed. On Saturday, she led ll local girl funners at the Division 1 All-State meet, finishing 22nd overall in a fine time of 19:18.02 on Wrentham's 5K course.
But Fragione didn't have the fastest local time of the day. That belonged to Austin Prep senior Stephanie Casaletto of Groveland, whose 18:39.79 clocking earned her sixth place in the Division 2 All-State meet.
Also in the Division 2 meet, Pentucket's Siobhan O'Keefe was 36th and Georgetown freshman Grace Sousa was 63rd.
Concord-Carlisle was the team winner in the Division 1 meet, edging Wellesley with Tewksbury in third while Mount Greylock captured the Division 2 meet comfortably ahead of runner-up Nauset.
