PELHAM — It was a great day for the entire Pelham defense, which shut out a talented ConVal team en route to a 12-0 victory.
"We played a tremendous game tonight, tremendous," said Pelham coach Tom Babaian. "We believed we could win, and we did."
Pelham (3-3) got on the board right before halftime when Robert Ryan hauled in a 20-yard TD pass from Ian Hoey. Then early in the fourth, Mason Fecteau game the Pythons some insurance with a 5-yard run for a score.
ConVal (4-2) struggled offensively.
Brett Lindsay led the Pelham ground attack with 75 yards on 19 carries. Hoey threw for 73 yards on 6 of 16 passing with the touchdown to Ryan, but his top option was Chris Barsalou (2-45).
