With a lineup of underclassmen led by Joe Gagnon, Pinkerton finished 11th while Londonderry came in 16th. But the Lancers showed great promise by finishing 1-2-6 to win the freshman race.

Gagnon, a junior, led the locals, finishing 24th and, at 16:56, was the only runner from the area to crack 17 minutes. Classmate Ethan Desmarais was next at 17:28 in 45th place.

Rhode Island power Bishop Hendricken was first with 54 points while Lowell, making its first appearance, was second with 80 and New Hampshire frontrunner Concord was third with 100 in the 37-team field.

In the freshman race, William Heenan was first in 11:11 over 2 miles with teammate Ryan Young right behind at 11:17.
