Londonderry overwhelms BG

NASHUA — Led by Jeff Wiedenfeld and Michael McAlister, Londonderry's offense proved unstoppable Saturday night.

As a result, the Lancers pulled off a mild upset by crushing host Bishop Guertin, 55-21.

Wiedenfeld rushed for 248 yards on 29 carries and scored three touchdowns while McAlister rushed for 58 yards and two scores and also thew a pair of touchdown passes.

Londonderry scored early and often and led 35-21 at the half and then shut out BG in the second half.

Ben Psaledas, Jack Ogden, Connor Dubois and Pat Hagerty all had five tackles for the Lancers and Shane MacEachern had an interception.

Londonderry (1-0) will be at Timberlane this Friday at 6:30 p.m.
