McKee takes second

After Windham won the Division 2 team championship on Thursday at Beaver Meadow golf club in Concord, its star golfer James McKee was in search for his third consecutive individual championship in the two-day individual tournament that concluded Saturday. McKee fired a 73 on Thursday and a 71 yesterday for a two-day total of 144, but was beaten by Phin Choukas of Hanover who came in with a two-day total of 73-70-143.

It is the first time in five years that Windham is not taking home the individual title.

McKee would have been the third male golfer to win three individual championships since the NHIAA started its records in 1946. He will be attending Division 1 West Point Academy next fall.
