METHUEN - It was a tough night for Methuen girls soccer, losing a double-overtime heartbreaker to Medford 2-1 in the first round of the Division 1 North playoffs.
Jessica Cutler had the Rangers lone goal on an assist from Lindsay Saad, and Megan Langlois made seven saves in net.
Medford moves on to play top-seeded Central Catholic Tuesday at 6 p.m. Methuen finished its season 10-5-6.
