Odds and ends: Bobby Dattilo has been recruited to play at Division 1 Hobart next year. ... Colby Verge, who missed last year with an ACL injury, is returning to defense after excellent seasons in both football and basketball. ... There are 25 varsity players who are multi-sport athletes. ... Varsity assistant coach Kevin Lally holds the NCAA Division 3 career assist record with 272 when he was at Endicott College. ... Pinkerton has captured 9 of 14 state championships since the NHIAA started lacrosse tournaments. Prior to last year, the Astros had never lost more than three games. ... There are 26 Pinkerton alumni currently playing NCAA lacrosse, including Johns Hopkins All-American candidate Steve Boyle and 11 members of nationally-ranked Keene State.
Coach Brian O'Reilly (27th year, 353-110): "We return a veteran team on the offensive end, especially at the midfield, with enough skills so that we should be able to control the tempo of the game, and we are vastly improved on defense with more athleticism than we've had in several years. Graduation and injuries have made goaltending an emphasis for us."
