NORTH ANDOVER — Brooks christened its new field and lights last night with a 38-18 win over Thayer.
Junior Jalen Martinez of Methuen scored two touchdowns. K.J. Moore threw TD passes to Coy Candelario of Haverhill for 42 yards and 27 yards to Nick Konovalchick of North Andover. Chris Cervizzi of North Reading added a 41-yard TD run.
Martinez and Moore both surpassed 100 yards rushing for Brooks, which led 21-0 after one quarter. Luke Hajdukiewicz of Andover had an interception to set up a first quarter score.
Brooks coach Patrick Foley said, "All-around, it was an outstanding effort. We had a huge crowd, We really appreciated that from the student body and faculty."
