BOSTON — Ellicen Pena threw touchdown passes to Jeremy Torres (14 yards), Joseph Pagan (10 yards) and Isaiah Roman (49 yards) as Greater Lawrence beat Madison Park 20-16 yesterday afternoon.
The host Cardinals were hoping to march the length of the field late but the final two plays of the game were sacks by juniors Eric Rodriguez and Brandon Nichols. The former had 11 tackles, three tackles for a loss and two forced fumbles. The latter had five tackles and three tackles for loss.
Manauris Rosario and Yoel Batista recovered fumbles for the Reggies, who improved to 4-5. Madison Park dropped to 5-4.
The Reggies have their fingers crossed as Pena hurt his finger late in the fourth quarter and came out of the game. He didn't return.
It's unofficial but it appears the Reggies will host Georgetown next Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
