CONCORD — Concord rolled to a 52-13 win over Salem last night to improve to 2-0.
Salem (0-2) got on the board in the first on a 35-yard pass from John Cerretani. Doug Maroun added a 2-yard scoring run in the fourth.
"As strange as it may sound, we made some progress," said first-year coach Rob Pike. "They were a faster, more aggressive team. They were better fundamentally than us."
It was a tough night for the defense but defensive end Pat Hughes played well.
