Tyler Vigue of Salem easily summed up his team's play over the first 30 minutes.

"We were just awful in the first two periods," said the senior. "We came out not skating and the loss to Exeter (on Saturday) was still in our heads. We thought we couldn't win and we couldn't score. But then we switched."

The shift of the night came 4:37 into the third period. Trailing by a goal, the defending champion Blue Devils scored twice within 30 seconds on their way to a 4-1 victory over Oyster River.

Trailing 1-0, Vigue opened the scoring with his first goal of the year. He took a pass from Josh Frahm and blasted it past Bobcats goalie Ethan Adamczyk. Steve Barreira added an assist on the goal.

Before most fans, and the Oyster River players, has processed the first goal, Frahm picked up a loose puck and added a tally of his own 28 seconds later for a 2-1 lead.

The Blue Devils continued to roll from there. Frahm added his second goal of the game off a pass from Chris Smerdon. Ryan Desroches then closed out the scoring with his third goal of the season, with assists going to Vigue and Joel Vastl. Salem faces Spaulding tonight at 6.
