Senior Dan Dymecki was "fantastic" in the words of his coach, Phillips' Kevin Graber.
And that may be am understatement after the performance senior rigty threw yesterday in a two-hit mastepiece. Dymecki, who is headed to Lafayette for baseball, struck out nine and needed just 74 pitches to finish off Deerfield Academy.
Brian Delaney's two-run single in the fourth inning was the only offense of the day from either team as the pitcher's duel meeting took just one hour and 10 minutes.
Phillips (12-5) earned a doubleheader sweep after shutting out Deerfield, 6-0, in the second game behind six strong innings from Rory Ziomek, who struck out five and allowed just five hits. Chris Hohlstein went 2 for 3 with a home run in the second game.
