Haverhill's Tom Palleschi crushed a two-run triple in the third inning and a trio of Phillips pitchers made it stand up in a 3-0 shutout of Cushing Academy. P.J. Nowak played superbly at second base, contributing to a pair of double plays as Tom Salvadore, Thomas Lane and Curtiss Pomeroy only had to face two batters over the minimum.
