After a scoreless regulation and overtime, No. 12 Georgetown fell to No. 8 Ipswich in a shootout, 4-3, in the semifinals of the Division 3 North tourney.

Georgetown advances to semis with victory over league foe

The Division 3 North girls soccer tournament is beginning to play out like a Cape Ann League tournament.

No. 12 Georgetown became the most recent CAL team to assert its pedigree yesterday, advancing to the semifinal round with a 5-1 victory over CAL-foe and No. 13 seed Hamilton-Wenham.

DeeDee Fagan netted two goals for North Andover as it got past Georgetown, 4-1. The Scarlet Knights' Jackie Sullivan had two assists. Bri Connolly and Lauren Bova played exceptional defense for the Scarlet Knights, holding Georgetown to just five shots. Nicoline Holland scored the only goal for Georgetown.
